Ann works in water color. Most paintings are also available as Limited Edition Giclée prints.
What is a Giclée?
Giclée (pronounced g-clay) is a fine art print from a digital source
printed by ink-jet. The name refers to the French term for “spray”
which is how the continuous
tone pigment is applied. When printed on
fine art paper or canvas, and using archival pigments, they are
rated to last up to 100 years. Artists work with a printer to
accurately capture the color and detail of the original painting for
the highest quality image. The Giclée prints here are produced on
Arches water color paper and archival ink for unmatched color
ink stability.
The numbers you see on a print (1/100) indicate the sequence the
print holds in the edition and the total number of prints in the
edition (1 = first print created/100 = total number of prints in the
edition.)
As with all art, care should be taken to keep prints protected from direct sunlight and moisture by using proper framing, archival mats and backing, and glass or Plexiglas over images on paper.
